Ward 83 meeting
Ward councillor invites residents to attend IDP meeting
All residents of Ward 83 are invited to attend an Integrated Development Plan (IDP) meeting on 24 October.
The meeting will be held at the Klein Helderkruin Old Age Home, on the corner of Graphite and Ouklip Roads, Wilro Park from 18:30pm.
According to ward councillor, Suzanne Clarke, an IDP meeting or a ward wish list is an approach to planning involving the entire municipality and its residents. This is an effort to find the best solutions to achieve good long-term development. “It is a plan for the ward or area that gives an overall framework for development,” Suzanne said.
The IDP aims to do the following:
– Coordinate the work between local and other government spheres to improve the quality of life of all the ward residents
– Give the ward councillor an opportunity to provide input that is based on the needs and aspirations of their constituencies
– Give the community an opportunity to participate in identifying their most important needs
