Project Toppie: We need more support!
More than 150 bags still needed.
Although the community have opened their hearts by donating just over 65 Toppie bags, we have to collect at least 200.
Thus far the biker and sports community have also pledged their support. The Record asks that the community make up small gift bags containing soap, disposable razors, ear buds, a toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant. Please do not donate cash or individual items, since it could lead to the Record receiving three hundred tubes of toothpaste and only two razors, for example. Instead you can partner with someone else and together make up a bag. The Record also asks that no matter how kind the gesture, do not add other items since this would be unfair to the other recipients.
The bags can be delivered at the Record’s offices at the corner of Ham Street and Generaal Pienaar Avenue. The closing date is 18 November.
