Nordic Rescue SA NPC is a non-profit rescue organisation that is currently taking care of 40 huskies. The animals were rescued from being euthanised or found abandoned and abused in and around various parts of South Africa. The organisation is pro-life and wants to give huskies and husky cross-breeds a second chance at life in the care of the organisation.
The animals are provided with the best veterinary care, but this has a huge financial impact on the organisation. It relies heavily on donations from the community and is pleading for more assistance.

The organisation’s wish is to raise awareness about its work on the West Rand. However, the organisation needs the community’s help with funding and sponsoring the effort.
The founder of the organisation, Elke du Bruyn, said she is hoping the community will be willing to assist with monthly donations and venues for fundraising.
“These dogs, many of them from the West Rand, have been let down by people. They are loving and full of life, and all they want is to find a home where they can be loved.
The neglected state of some of these animals when they arrive here breaks your heart – any animal lover will know how this feels – and they need the public to help them to have a home away from home,” she said.
