Poor health service? Here’s how to lodge a complaint
JOBURG - Lodging a complaint against an official at a public hospital or public hospital, follow this procedure:

If you have ever felt as though you’ve not been treated fairly, or with respect, at a public hospital, you probably have laid – or tried to lay – a complaint.
Maybe you haven’t seen any results after you lodged the complaint, or perhaps you have. The Gauteng Department of Health has listed these steps to follow if you are ever unhappy with the service you have received:
– Ask for the official in charge of the section and express your dissatisfaction with the service;
– If you are still not happy, ask for the CEO of the hospital; you have a right to speak to the CEO;
– If you are still not satisfied, please call the complaints line on: 0860 011 000;
– Always make sure you take down the name of the officials who assist you; they have to wear nametags.
