Really. Mothers and fathers, it is your responsibility to teach your children how to behave in public and at school! No respect for anything. How do you cross the road? Do we even know how? You parents should not cry foul if your children are killed by oncoming cars. These are utter brats!
And then your children are outlaws and feel they can do as they please. De Adelaar High School children play chicken often with traffic, because they feel they have the right! You have the right to education, the right to eat etc. You do not have the right to be imbeciles of note! That is a choice. One only you can make.
School teachers are not there to teach your almost adult children how to behave in the road. And then the taxi drivers believe they own that area. Really, don’t you have other areas to harass and hold at ransom?
Will the school pay for the trauma counselling of the child and her mother? Will you headmaster of this school, pay for the replacement of those tyres that were slashed by the gangsters hanging around your school?
Is De Adelaar turning into a second West Ridge High school? Catchment or no catchment, I will never place my child in your school, nor will I recommend it. In fact, to society, your school is one of the poorest recipients of learners right along West Ridge High School.
