Armed robbers strike second time within a month
Robbers fled with all their victims' keys.
A family of three fell victim to an armed house robbery in Proot Street last night (26 July).
West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) received a call at about 10.15pm about noise at a house in the street in question. On arrival the family informed them that three armed males had come into the house and locked them in a room while a fourth was the getaway driver. The suspects took jewellery, cellphones, laptops and televisions. They fled with keys to the gate, house and vehicles.
No description of the suspects’ vehicle is available.
This was the second armed house robbery in Proot Street within a month.
