ANC Youth League helps Honeydew’s impoverished

HONEYDEW – The ANC Youth League visited the Honeydew area and interacted and assisted residents.

The Brian Bunting ANC Youth League (ANCYL)  and ANC branch  reached out to a family in need in Honeydew.

The youth league, led by chairperson Relebohile (Lebo) Mofokane, organised the initiative to paint their house inside and out, replace the window curtains, and donate groceries.

The branch, led by chairperson Phido Thage, ANC municipal candidate, Phapano Phasha and other ANC and ANCYL branch executive committee members also joined the initiative.

“Monday marked the seventh celebration of Nelson Mandela International Day. Like any other responsible citizens of the world, Brian Bunting branch reached out and assisted the Dunn family. This family consists of an unemployed husband and wife living with two children. The visit has demonstrated that the ANC is there to help all,” said chairperson Relebohile (Lebo) Mofokane.

The visit also provided the ANC with an opportunity to go door to door and introduce candidate Phasha to residents of Honeydew.

“We have also identified that residents living around the plots of Ward 97 are not familiar with the services that government can provide including child grants, grants for elderly citizens and other Department of Social Development benefits,” added Mofokane.
