Police are still investigating the incident of murder which occurred in Plot 84, Joe Slovo Informal Settlement.
This after a 31-year-old man allegedly stabbed a 40-year-old victim in his upper body at the settlement on 23 April.
According to the police, the victim was certified dead on the scene by paramedics. Police then launched a manhunt after it was discovered that the suspect fled the scene.
The following day the suspect then handed himself to the police station, he was charged with murder and briefly appeared at the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.
Police could not reveal further details surrounding the incident. “At this stage the investigations are still going on,” said Muldersdrift Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hitler Ngwenya.
