Elderly couple found murdered

At around 4pm yesterday a domestic worker and the son of her employers, an elderly couple believed to be in their 70’s, found the couple murdered.

The domestic worker arrived at the home in Pitts Avenue and found it suspicious that it was overtly quiet on the property. She called her employers’ son.

On arrival they investigated and discovered the house was ransacked. They then made the gruesome discovery in the garage – the elderly couple was bound and strangled, according to Roodepoort Police spokesperson Mpho More.

According to an unofficial source very little was stolen.
