Foetus found by refuse workers

A foetus was found by refuse workers while collecting waste along Stallion Street in Poortview early morning on 25 April.

Spokesperson of ER24, Russel Meiring confirmed that paramedics were called to the scene after refuse workers had noticed the body of the foetus in the back of the refuse vehicle.

“On arrival paramedics found the foetus inside the rear of the refuse vehicle,” said Meiring.

Unfortunately, the foetus was already dead when found by the refuse workers. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
