Hijacking could not have been prevented

I don’t think anybody can say for sure that this would or could have been prevented. Can anybody say that they would just sit back or would not attempt to do the same as what the chasers in this case did.
What if we see something like this happening and just accept that it is just a another hijacking and, no need to worry as if you attempt to assist you might be judged if things take a turn for the worst. Needless to say that this chasers also put their own lives at risk to attempt to save someone’s else live.
What would the debate have been if witnesses saw this family being hijacked and just carried on with their own normal live. Perhaps get the newspaper and read about a missing family, or mom and sister raped in front of little brother before they were shot to death in a field after being hijacked.
If chasers did not assist, this family most probably would have been brutally raped and killed, or they would have been placed in a missing report file for the next 20 years. Never to see or hear from again.
We need more people to get involved. How many times do you hear that you did phone the police but we are still waiting for them. Needless to say that they might pitch three hours late.
Thank you chasers for putting your own lives at risk to save someone else’s daughter, aunt, mother, sister or friend.
