Hit-and-run leaves biker injured

Woman's pelvis injured.

A 35-year-old woman was left injured this morning following a hit-and-run accident at the Penny Street and Trezona Avenue intersection in Witpoortjie.

ER24 paramedics found the patient and scooter lying on the side of the road.

The woman reportedly was knocked off her scooter at the intersection. The vehicle then allegedly drove off without

stopping. Paramedics discovered that the woman had sustained injuries to her pelvis.

The patient was treated for her injuries and transported to a hospital in Krugersdorp for further treatment.

Local authorities will investigate the accident.
