Muldersdrift SAPS celebrate a 13 year conviction for the successful apprehension of armed robber Casper Dube.
The crime happened on 2 December 2012 when a woman was grabbed and threatened with a knife along a pathway in Muldersdrift. The suspect at the time demanded her money and cellphone. Constable Dintwe Lucky Sambo of Muldersdrift SAPS, swiftly reacted to this complaint and information received from the public. The suspect was arrested shortly after the incident.
The case docket was allocated to Detective Constable Mncedisi Bambiso for further investigation. The case was heard at the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court where 35-year-old Dube was found guilty of armed robbery and sentenced to 13 years in prison.
The Acting Station Commander, Captain Musandiwa Gilbert Singo applauded the above-mentioned members for their hard work and dedication that resulted in this conviction. Capt Singo further said that, “The community of Muldersdrift will eventually be safe from any acts of criminality.”
