Equestrian students excel in inter schools show

HONEYDEW – Young riders from Glover Paddocks Equestrian Park in Honeydew performed exceptionally well at the inter-school show.

Young riders from Glover Paddocks Equestrian Park achieved outstanding results in the first inter-school show .

The riders who participated in this show will again compete in the second inter-school qualifier which is set to take place on 9 and 10 April.

The Glover Paddocks Equestrian Park owner, Kerryn Maher, said it was a brilliant day for Team Glover. “We cleaned up – way to go,” she said, expressing her excitement about the exceptional performance.

Maher thanked the team instructors who gave their all, especially helping with the new riders. “I think it was a great first experience for the newbies,” she said.

First time rider Catherine Priest, riding Midnight Express, triumphed in the performance riding class and came second in the working riding class.

Megan Ras was placed third in the performance and working riding categories, while Elizabeth Yates came second and third in the dressage category and fourth in performance riding.

Karla Strydom took first place in the Prix Caprilli category and fourth place in the working riding class, while Rae-Kyndra Ragoobeer took fourth place in the in-hand utility category and Anya Brink took position four in the 50 CM show jumping class.
