Mechanic dies after being pinned under vehicle

A mechanic has died after a vehicle fell on top of him.

The incident occurred at about 16:45pm this afternoon in Weltevreden Park.

According to Netcare 911 Media Liaison Officer, Athlenda Methe, “The scene indicated that he was working on the vehicle when the support collapsed and pinned him against the floor.”

When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene they found a man pinned under the vehicle. After assessing him it was found that he had died due to the extensive injuries he sustained.
