Double not troubling to Arthur Matthews Primary

A unique phenomenon in enrollments at Arthur Matthews Primary School in Florida.

Twins are said to be double the trouble, but if a school provides an educational home to many sets, it is no trouble at all.

So says Marcelle Mans, spokesperson for Arthur Matthews Primary, where 10 sets of twins were enrolled this year, attending Grades 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Four sets of twins are girls, three sets of twins are boys and three sets are brother-sister pairs.

“We count ourselves as being particularly blessed with no less than 10 sets of terrific twins,” Mans said.

A fantastic phenomenon indeed, and something the school hasn’t seen before. Six of the sets of twins are in the same class while four sets have been split up.

“They are all nice children who are well-behaved and participate actively in class,” she said.
