I wonder how often Pickitup and dustbin scratches has been falsely accused.

Perfect example is now on 14 January after Pickitup did their rounds in Wilropark ext 12 area. We went out to fetch our bins, only to be faced with an overflowing dustbin, broken bottles on the sidewalk in the grass. First thought was that it was Pikitup that did this, then possibly the dustbin scratches. However, a closer look at the contentrevealed that it was not our waste in that bin.

Amongst others Blue swimming pool pipes, dozens of castle lite beer bottles many broken on the lawn, a number of swimming pool chlorine month holder, grass and, soft kitchen waste. Further Camera footage on 14 January shows that one of our dear old grey haired neighbors emptying his dustbin into ours. However, he is strong enough to lift the dustbin and empty the last half into our bin spilling everything over on the sidewalk and on the grass. His number is clearly showing on his bin and one can see him pushing his dustbin towards his property.

How utterly utterly lousy of him to do that. We had to clean up the mess and now we do not have bin space for the next week. I could not believe my eyes and was rather shocked to see who it is!

So lesson learned: don’t jump to conclusions, and grab your dustbins as quickly as possible after Pikitup has made their rounds.
