Councillor Jaco Engelbrecht’s Christmas wish list

RUIMSIG – Councillor Jaco Engelbrecht wishes this Christmas to be peaceful and without any attacks on innocent people.

Ward 97 Councillor Jaco Engelbrecht reveals his Christmas wish list.

Here is the list of his wishes:

– That no one will have to spend any time without power and if there is a blackout, that it is short and that it is due to an awesome Johannesburg thunderstorm.

– That no one will have their water disconnected and that all will respect water and use it sparingly.

– That everyone will have someone to spend their Christmas with.

– That cellphones and laptops will be shut down when in the company of those people and that conversations will take place in the now, with attention and focus, so that we listen to hear, and not merely to respond.

– That there will be no more attacks on innocent people and that the crass stupidity of war be replaced with the universal peace that is to be found only in the love of our fellow beings and our planet.

– That our laws will be respected by all and that no one will drive while intoxicated, too fast or with eyes on handheld devices.

– That the people who are running Cape Town will be running Johannesburg by end of May 2016 and that the first two items on this wish list will be redundant by then.
