Young Michael at Pathways
We are here today to bring a little smile to the faces of these pupils.
Michael Diggeden, along with his mother Chenè and family friends Nelissa Nieuwoudt and JP Smith surprised the pupils of Pathways Roodepoort with a Christmas party.
Pathways is a place where children who are afflicted with severe mental and physical impairments such as severe brain damage (Cerebral Palsy), Chromosome Disorders, Developmental Delay, Autism and Self Injurious Behaviour.
The family brought gifts, goodie bags, food and water slides for the pupils to enjoy.
“The children don’t get much financial support and they are sponsored to be here. We are here today to bring a little smile to the faces of these pupils. I also want my son to learn more about helping others,” said Chenè.
Pathways Roodepoort principal Sunette Pretorius was extremely happy as she saw the smiling faces of her pupils as they enjoyed themselves.
“To see people opening their hearts and trying to help us and the children have a wonderful Christmas makes me happy. To see the smile on their faces is a humbling experience,” she said.
