GALLERY: Successful bowls championships at Ruimsig
RUIMSIG – The most successful and enjoyable bowls finals at the Ruimsig Country Club.
Ruimsig Bowling Club held their finals of the 2015 club competition on 5 December at the Ruimsig Country Club (RCC).
Players competed in various categories including Women’s Singles Champion, Men’s Singles Champion and Mixed Pairs Champion.
One of the players, Graeme Morton explained that the day went off extremely well with some very exciting bowls being played.
“The competitiveness and level of bowls played was of a top standard,” he said.
Graeme concluded that it was a most successful and enjoyable day had by all players.
Mike Sampson and Jan de Beer thanked all the players for their participation throughout the season and congratulated all the winners on their achievements.
Sampson said it was the first time in the club that all the champions were played in one day. “Mabs Rees, RCC competition secretary, has done a great job in putting together all the competitions and making a success of the finals day,” explained Sampson.
The day ended off with the prize-giving ceremony and snacks.
