Matric results to be released on 5 January
JOBURG – Matric results will be released nationally on 5 January, and provincially on 6 January.
Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga will officially release the national Matric results on 5 January next year. This will be followed by Gauteng Department of Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi officially releasing the provincial Matric results the next day.
On 5 January, the results will be posted on the SABC and eNCA websites, said Elijah Mhlanga, chief director of the Communications and Media Liaison Department of Basic Education. Gauteng pupils can then collect their results at their schools the next day.
“As a province, we shall be releasing the statements of results to all schools at the date of the release and pupils are requested to go and collect them from their schools,” concluded the Gauteng department’s spokesperson, Phumla Sekhonyane.
