SA to host prestige championships.

Local 36-year-old mom of two, Chantal van Loggenberg will be representing South Africa at Natural Amateur Bodybuilding Association (Mabba)-World Fitness Federation (WFF) next Saturday.
South Africa will host the championship this year and Van Loggenberg will be participating in the Athlete division against athletes from between 16 and 24 countries. Van Loggenberg who is a personal trainer and nutritionist started taking part in competitions in 2009 and has never looked bak. This year she came second Nabba SA Championship (which she won last year)and won the National Bodybuilding Fitness Federation (WBFF) title.
Being a mother and working full time Van Loggenberg says prove that no one has any excuse not to stay in shape. She and her husband also has a non-profit organisation (NPO), supreme Athletes which helps up and coming athletes with sponsorships.
“When you are well known you can pick and choose from sponsorships but from my own experience I have learned it is difficult when you are starting out,” said Van Loggenberg.
Van Loggenberg’s advice to anyone who wants to take up the sport, is finding a good trainer.
“A good trainer is everything. He or she will get the right programme for you as well as supplements. A good trainer will also take care of your nutrition which is of utmost importance,” said Van Loggenberg.
