STRUBEN'S VALLEY – SA Bachelor finalist Wayne Stafford raises funds for the Amadea Safe House.
SA Bachelor 2015 finalist Wayne Stafford had 500 cupcakes for sale at Clearwater Mall on 24 October to raise funds in support of Amadea Safe House.
Residents gathered to show their support for the home in Pretoria for abandoned, abused, disabled and HIV/Aids affected and infected children.
Rina Milan, who runs Amadea Safe House, attended the cupcake event with some of the children to show their appreciation.
As SA Bachelor finalist, Stafford had to pick three out of five nominated charities as his social community development responsibility to raise funds for throughout the competition, and Amadea Safe House was one of the charities that interested him.
SA Bachelor is about entrepreneurship and the spirit of giving back and raising awareness through charity and community work.
Stafford has raised about R100 000 for charity in his seven-month journey as a South African Bachelor finalist and is looking to raise much more before the end of the competition. Even after the competition, he will still be involved with charities as he was before.
“I am very pleased with the outcome, it was a great success,” Stafford said. “I will make it an annual charity event.”
Celebrities such as Mr South Africa 2015 Armand du Plessis, newly crowned Mrs South Africa Candice Abrahams, Mrs Globe Riana Mooi, South Africa Bachelor 2014 Guy Saben and many more, helped Stafford to host a successful cupcake sale.
