Hats off to councillor Mann

Hats off to [Ward 85] councillor Mann in taking the fight to City Power on behalf of us all.

Apart from his stance regarding smart meters, he has personally assisted us in our efforts to have an incorrectly calculated bill sorted out – incidentally as a result of the installation of a smart meter.

In the article in the Roodepoort Northsider the statement by Yumna Sheik [City Power appointsnew spokesperson] https://roodepoortnorthsider.co.za/204937/city-power-appoints-new-spokesperson/] nearly had me in stitches.

In essence “…don’t sign a petition … we will assist in addressing the real issue at hand.”

What utter nonsense!

We have no assistance whatsoever from anyone at Joburg Municipality or at City Power to date despite councillor Mann’s efforts.

It’s amazing how a perceived threat results in all kinds of meaningless platitudes.
