Metro Police spot suspects by accident.
On Wednesday night at about 8pm Metro Police officers noticed a vehicle stop at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Third Street.
Three men got out and jumped over a wall while two others waited in the vehicle. The three men returned, jumped in the vehicle and sped off. The Metro Police officers gave chase and when stopping them found they had an unlicensed firearm in their possession.
The five men were arrested and charged at Roodepoort Police Station for attempted house robbery and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
