Each for himself

We read, with some mirth your article ICW the recent drug bust in Florida and subsequent release of the suspects, without bail, now they have disappeared, thanks to the supposed integrity of the mighty SAPS (sic) ; and they expect us to look up to them and assist where possible!

The same applies to JMPD officers who pull you over on a whim to check your licence, no problem with that, however 90% chirp I’m hungry, this is blatant and unacceptable; I am convinced Mr Minnaar has no idea whats happening on the ground in reality!

We are at a stage where there is no respect for either of the above, nothing whatsoever, just resentment resulting in us circumventing the system where possible just to get back at them; at our residential complex the SAPS are refused entry due to the perceived attitude of their members; when they protest, we show them the sign affixed at our gate which clearly reads “right of admission reserved” after which they leave.

It is a pity our country has come to this, now it’s genuinely each for his own, by choice and proud of it!
