
For the week ahead, this means that both suburbs will be affected. Today (Tuesday 15 September) Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) will be load shed from 8pm til 12.30am at all stages. Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) will be affected only from Stage 2 onwards from 8pm til 12.30am.
Tomorrow Roodepoort will be spared load shedding but Florida will be load shed from 12 noon til 4.30pm at all stages.

On Thursday Roodepoort will be affected only from Stage 2 from 4pm til 8.30pm while Florida will be affected only from Stage 3 from 4pm til 8.30pm.
On Friday Roodepoort will take the hit again at all stages from 8am til 12.30pm. Florida will only be affected from Stage 2 from 8am til 12.30pm.

According to their application MyEskomApp, at 6pm tonight, their peak time, 30 639 megawatts will be in use nationally. Currently, the grid is stable.
According to reports, load shedding is being implemented once more due to maintenance work on their Cahora Bassa hydroelectric scheme with Hydroelectrica de Cahora Bassa (HCB) in Mozambique. The maintenance work means South Africa would import only 650 megawatts from Mozambique instead of the normal 1 500 megawatts imported on a daily basis.
