Four vehicle crash on Ontdekkers

Ontdekkers Road and the surrounding streets are highly congested after a four vehicle accident took place at about 9.45am.

The events that lead up to the accident has not been determined yet but a bystander alleged that a truck coming from McDonalds of CR Swart Road side skipped the traffic light and crashed into a cash-in-transit truck and another vehicle. The fruit truck then hit a 4X4 coming from Wilrogate.

The driver of the 4×4 was seriously injured and one of the security guards in the cash-in-transit truck had to be cut out with the Jaws of Life. Both were taken to hospital.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
