Water cuts in Weltevreden Park and surrounding areas

WELTEVREDEN PARK – Joburg Water warns residents who live around Weltevreden Park of a water cut that takes place 10 September.

Johannesburg Water (JW), the City’s water and sanitation service provider would like to inform residents of an emergency water disruption that is expected to affect around 9 500 properties from the Weltevreden Park and surrounding areas on 10 September.

Acting external communications officer Mpho Mahlangu said that the disruption in the water service is to replace a leaking valve in order to improve water service delivery and continuation of water supply. He encouraged residents to save water in their homes in anticipation of the water cut, but added that water tankers would drive around the affected areas all day in order to supply residents with water.

Mahlangu pointed out that all streets within the following areas will be affected:

Allen’s Nek, Struben’s Valley,Weltevreden Park, Little Falls, Poortview, Wilgeheuwel, Radiokop, Amorosa, Aanwins, Harveston, Ruimsig, Très Jolie, Zonnehoewe, Willowbrook Estate and Honeydew View.
