Annual acoustic guitar competition takes place at Rumours

If you play an acoustic guitar, by yourself or as part of a duo, and want to play for an audience then the Acoustic Guitar Competition taking place at Rumours Lounge on Sunday afternoons, is the place to perform.

This event – open to all ages – offers acoustic guitarists the opportunity of winning a new acoustic guitar, courtesy of Marshall Music in Roodepoort as well as qualifying for a discount when they purchase from the store.

Acoustic guitarists can play a half-hour set which can comprise covers, originals or a combination of the two.

First round takes place until the beginning of November, after which semi-finals will take place leading up to the finals on Sunday 6 December.

There is no entrance fee for acoustic guitarists.
