Police members awarded for faithful service
LITTLE FALLS – SAPS honours faithful members of Honeydew Cluster during a medal parade.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) honoured members of the Honeydew Cluster for their loyal service by hosting a medal parade on 27 August at the Little Falls Christian Centre.
Police stations that are part of Honeydew Cluster include Honeydew, Diepsloot, Florida, Roodepoort, Randburg and Douglasdale.
Members were awarded with medals for 10, 20 and 30 years of service.
Honeydew Cluster Commander Brigadier Wayne Sirkhot said the theme for the parade was faithfulness.
“Being faithful is to have the ability to do what is expected. Being a police officer means running the difficult race of being faithful,” said Sirkhot.
He thanked the officers for their loyal service before handing out the medals together with Deputy Provincial Commissioner Major General Deliwe de Lange.
Honeydew spokesperson Warrent Officer Karin Jacobs said the various members paraded with pride.
