‘Don Quixote’ is ‘en pointe’ at Joburg Ballet
Don Quixote, a Spanish comedy comes to the Joburg Theatre.
The Nelson Mandela Theatre at the Joburg Theatre held its final dress rehearsal for Don Quixote, a Spanish comedy.
The story of vibrant Kitri, her love for Basilio, a poor young barber and Kitri’s father’s ambitious marriage plans for his daughter, is told through captivating dance and colourful costumes.
The dress rehearsal featured, among others, Joburg Ballet principal dancers Michael Revie as Basilio and Shannon Glover as Kitri; Keke Chele as Gamache and Jonathan Rodrigues as Espada.
Don Quixote runs from 28 August to 13 September.
