Parkies give SPCA a helping hand
Staff members and Parkies pupils collected 'doggie' items and donated it to the Roodepoort SPCA.
Florida Park High School continued their 60th celebrations by donating to an animal shelter.
The school donated pet food and blankets to the Roodepoort SPCA this week.
This comes after the school’s Mandy Cato found out about how the animal organisation was in need of help and decided to rope in the school to help.
“We did this as part of our celebrations because we assisted other charities in the community during this month. A former pupil, Jason Kennedy, who now works at Ola Ice Cream donated ice cream. Our grade 12 pupils had to sell the ice-creams in the school. All the money that we received went into buying pet food and blankets and other accessories. We also received donations from the pupils who wanted to help,” said Cato.
