Policewomen arrested at Cradlestone Mall

MULDERSDRIFT – Female officers caught stealing at a cellphone store.

Two police officers, aged 42 and 29, have been arrested for allegedly shop lifting at Cradlestone Mall  on 19 August.

The two female officers were caught by a cellphone store attendant when “[taking] the cellular phones’ head set device and putting them in their field dress trouser’s pockets,” confirmed Gauteng Provincial Commissioner of SAPS, Lieutenant General L Mothiba.

The officers are stationed at the Krugersdorp Police Station and have been released on bail.

They are expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court on 20 August.

“This conduct will not be tolerated as it hinders the reputation of the SAPS,” added Lt Gen Mothiba.
