Maragon head girl wins sought after title

Thousands of entries received.

Karli Coetzee, head girl of Maragon Private Schools was chosen as the winner of Lead SA’s Youth Leader for the Year 2015, Gauteng.

Every month the campaign selects a winner out of thousands of entries for that specific month. This happens from July to the next year July. The twelve winners then are invited to the Primedia offices in Sandton were the youth leader of the year is selected.

She received a certificate, a beautiful life-size painting of the late Nelson Mandela and R12 000 for her charity.

The panel of judges included people from the media industry. Represented at this function was the chairperson of the Nelson Mandela Fund, representatives from the Dis-Chem Foundation and radio commentator, Sam Cowen.

Karli has been invited to attend a function on 15 August at the University of Johannesburg where an overall winner will be announced nationally. The winner will receive R100 000 for their charity.
