Your weekend load shedding forecast
Prepare for loadshedding this weekend.

This weekend Roodepoort will be hit harder with load shedding than Florida, should Eskom decide to implement it. Here follows the weekend load shedding schedule as forecast by both City Power’s official schedule and the application Grid Watch. Eskom warns on twitter that, should the power go off at a different time than the agreed schedule or for a longer period it should be treated as a fault and should be reported to City Power immediately.
Friday 7 August:
In Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) there is no load shedding at Stage 1, but should Stages 2, 3 or 4 be implemented residents will be affected from 8am til 12.30pm. In Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) there is no load shedding scheduled at Stage 1 or 2, but should Stages 3 or 4 be implemented, residents will be affected from 8am til 12.30pm.
Saturday 8 August:
In Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) power outages are scheduled from Stage 1 throughout from 12 midnight til 4.30am. Should Stage 4 at all be implemented, an additional time slot is scheduled from 4pm til 8.30pm. In Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) load shedding is forecast from Stage 1 from 4pm til 8.30pm with additional time slots at Stage 2, 3 and 4 from 12 midnight til 4.30am (same day).
Sunday 9 August:
In Block 3B (Roodepoort and surrounds) no load shedding is scheduled at Stage 1, but is forecast from Stage 2 from 8pm til 12.30am with additional time slots at Stage 3 and 4 from 4am til 8.30am. In Block 7B (Florida and surrounds) no load shedding is scheduled at Stages 1 or 2 but forecast at Stages 3 and 4 from 8pm til 12.30am, with an additional time slot at Stage 4 from 4am til 8.30am.
