
On 11 June 2013 police opened a case of house robbery after an incident that took place in Hinda Street.
The complainant was in the kitchen preparing to cook, when a male suspect entered and held her at gunpoint. She was tied up with a phone charger cable and he asked for her money and phone. She told him she did not have money and he took her bank cards. The suspect also took jewellery and then fled. When the husband arrived he discovered more items missing from the house.
The police was called and fingerprint was lifted from a jewellery container that was found on top of the bed. The investigating officer managed to compare and link the set of fingerprint to ones already on record.
The suspect was traces and found in Krugersdorp prison. The suspect,Jabulani Sango Masango was tried at the Regional court where he was sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment for robbery with aggravating circumstances, six years for housebreaking with the intent to steal and one year for theft.
