Tired of resorting to the traditional routes of handling a municipal problem?

No problem at all. In an attempt to bring all-hands-on-board service to residents, the City of Johannesburg and its many departments are available on twitter to handle residents’ queries. Should lengthy phone calls to Joburg Connect not appeal to Roodepoorters, the following twitter accounts will handle queries by a simple tweet. Earlier this month, one of the municipality’s official tweeters Tumelo Komape (known in the twittersphere as ‘TK’) was honoured in multiple media reports for his quick response and helpful attitude. He’s been reported to handle around 200 tweets a day for the City of Joburg handle @CityofJoburgZA.
