Motorcyclist critical after crash
CONSTANTIA PARK – Teenager on motorbike in critical condition following collision with car.
A motorcyclist (17) is in a critical condition after colliding with a light motor vehicle on Springhaas Road on 13 July.
According to ER24’s media statement, paramedics from the Johannesburg West branch of ER24, and other emergency services, responded to the scene.
On their arrival, they found the male patient lying in one of the lanes near the traffic lights.
“On assessment of the patient, paramedics found that he had sustained injuries to his head and arm, and was in a critical condition,” said Russel Meiring, spokesperson for ER24.
He added that the patient was provided with advanced life support and then transported by ambulance to Helen Joseph Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.
“The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations,” said Meiring.
