Dogfighting is cruel and savage
Do you suspect anyone of being involved in dogfighting?
The idea of dogfighting makes me sick to my stomach and hearing that it is happening right under our noses is very alarming.
I received a very disturbing call from a local animal activist explaining that 16-year-old boys are using their pet pit bulls in dogfighting. There have been many rumours about dogfighting in the area, but no one has had solid information with regard to the people involved.
At 16, you would think that children would be focusing on school and socialising with their friends, how can they be involved in such a savage and cruel underground world? Where are the parents and do they also take pleasure in seeing animals suffer?
Animals are bred for a purpose, but exploiting their inherent instinct to survive and torturing them is definitely not their purpose. As human beings it is our duty to protect the animals, not to teach them to rip each other apart for our enjoyment and to make a quick buck.
I am making it my mission to find out where these dogfighting syndicates are operating and to make sure the people involved get the punishment they deserve.
