Woman critical following accident
KLOOFENFDAL – School children suffer no injuries when their bus and a vehicle collided.
A woman was injured following a side impact crash on Christiaan de Wet Road near Wilgerood Road in Kloofendal, this morning, 18 June.
According to Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann, their paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a bus transporting school children and a motor vehicle were involved in a side-impact collision.
“Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that the female driver of the motor vehicle was in a critical condition following the accident,” said Steinmann.
The critically injured woman was treated at the scene and rushed to hospital for the urgent medical care she required.
The occupants of the bus were not injured during the collision.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
