Roodepoort Athletics Club to host annual road race
Free T-shirts will be handed out to the first 1400 contestants as the Roodepoort Athletics Club hosts its annual Northgate road race.
The 5km and 10km competition which is in its 19th year will start later this month, 28 June at Northgate Shopping Mall.
Those interested to participate in the race can enter online at www.enteronline.co.za, or on the day of the race from 6.00am at Entrance 4 of Northgate Shopping Centre.
The start gun will be fired at 7.30am and all those who complete either race will receive a medal.
The first 1 900 athletes in the 10km race and the first 400 athletes in the 5km race will receive their medals at the finish line.
The 10km race will cost R50 or R70 for those without a license. The 5km run will cost R25 and participants don’t need to have a licence.
R5 from each entry will be donated to local charities.
