Minibus collision injures driver

A 38-year-old man sustained serious injuries after his minibus collided with another.

A side impact crash caused by two minibuses which took place on President Road in Princess this morning, left one of the drivers seriously injured.

According to Netcare 911 spokesperson, Santi Steinmann, the driver of one of the minibuses drove off the road and crashed into a steel fence where it came to a standstill.

Steinmann said the injured driver was treated at the scene before Netcare 911 paramedics transported him to hospital.

The driver of the other minibus as well as the other occupants in the bus did not sustain any injuries.

“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain subject of the police investigation,” Steinmann said.
