Accounting student makes clothes for a living

You are never too young to start a company of your own.

David Mpyatona, a young entrepeneur, who has been sewing for the past four years, has created jobs through making clothes for companies.

“My first clothing project was when I made matric jackets for a high-school while I was a second year University student. The jackets looked really terrible,” laughed the 23-year-old.

When asked if the “terrible” jackets discouraged him, he said, “yes it did but I did not give up and I applied at the same school the following year to make jackets again for the matriculants. The second batch of clothes came out much better than the first and I regained my confidence.”

His company, Proclivity Branding Solutions, has a staff of five people and he wishes to create more jobs as soon as his company expands.

The main focus of Proclivity is to manufacture clothing for corporate companies only.

“We contribute to the economy and create jobs for the unemployed,” is a motto that is instilled in the Branding Company.
