Witpoortjie the place to be this Youth Day
Their annual family day at the centre is to encourage residents and neighbours to engage in community activities and become vigilant.
Thanks to the Western Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch (WSRNW) the Witpoortjie Recreation Centre will be the place to be this Youth Day, Tuesday 16 June.
“It’s also our way of giving back to our wonderful community,” WSRNW public relations officer Frik van Zyl said.
Local artists like Therese Kupper and the Lekker Kêrels will provide entertainment for the day. The gates will open at 8am and entrance is free.
Other inviting factors are the foods and activities available to enjoy on the day, as well as the flea market. Tarantulas and a car show as well as paint ball for the children are only some of the unique selling points.
Have a large variety of lunch options to choose from, including Chinese food, prego rolls, sosatie rolls, pancakes, curry and rice, vetkoek and mince, jaffles and boerewors rolls. Baked goods for the sweet tooth will also be on sale.
