Winter relief from the HOGs
STRUBEN'S VALLEY – Motorcycle owners reach out to an organisation that caters for women in need.
The Harley Owners Group’s (H.O.G.) Clearwater Chapter held a food run on 5 June for the Cradle of Hope organisation.
Craig Hardman from H.O.G. Clearwater explained that a collection bin was set up at the Harley Davidson Dealership in Struben’s Valley.
“We decided to do something good for the organisation as they care for abandoned, abused, vulnerable and less-fortunate women, teenage girls and children. They are extremely dependent on donations especially as winter is upon us,” said Hardman.
He explained that the organisation is in need of perishables and non-perishables foods, cleaning aids as well as female hygiene products and clothes for the bitter winter months.
“We have managed to collect a little bit of everything for them but they are still in need of donations and we urge to community to step in and support them as well,” concluded Hardman.
