GALLERY: Homecoming tour

Belting out classics from Kwela and Udakwa Njalo, SA duo Mafikizolo brought The Globe down for the Homecoming Tour at Silverstar Casino on 5 June.

Residents and fans from Krugersdorp and Roodepoort braved the weekend cold front for a chance to reminisce on the sounds of the group that spans nearly two decades.

Local artists, Wanda Baloyi, Thulani Mafu and Melo whet the audience’s appetite as opening acts and got the whole crowd on their feet and singing along.

Dipuo Maroane and Maria Masoko said the show was an incredible experience.

“Seeing Mafikizolo on stage was amazing. The show was great, I enjoyed all the songs they performed and I sang along to every song.”
