Netball players make it into Gauteng Squad

RUIMSIG — Maragon's netball players sweep through competition and join provincial netball squad.

The current netball season has proved to be a success after one player from Maragon Ruimsig’s netball team was selected for the Gauteng Squad.

Zenadia Sijbesma was chosen as shooter for the 2015 provincial squad at the District Regional Trials recently.

Fellow teammates Ogechi Zulu and Morgan de Jager have also been included in the 2015 GSS netball teams.

Maragon netball coach, David Maree said that the dedication and commitment the players have shown is commendable.

“It is a privilege to coach a group of talented young girls who are passionate about netball. Their passion and drive to achieve is incredibly commendable and we wish them the best as they advance further.”

The GSS netball teams are school-based and function in three teams including the Gauteng Gamma, Lambda and Delta. These teams participate at the national level in all age groups.

“I have worked very hard to achieve my dream and it is paying off. Hard work is the key to success and it has been about training hard and being motivated to get here,” young Morgan de Jager added.
