Ward 87 councillor Amanda Forsythe: I find it really shocking that 4 years into a 5 year term of office, the Mayor and his team are still talking about plans and promises! Isn't it time that they start to deliver? The people of Johannesburg are sick and tired of hearing about grand schemes that are never properly implemented. Like the JMPD 10 Plus programme that by the City's own admission, has been a dismal failure. We're still waiting for the 'World Class African City' and the 'Good story to tell'! The new catchy phrase rolling off the Mayor's tongue is: 'working for a better tomorrow'. To that I want to respond: This is not the Lotto, Mr Mayor where 'one day is one day', People want delivery now.
