Shooting at Hole-in-One Drive

RUISMIG — Alleged drug deal results in shooting.

A man was shot and wounded in his vehicle at around 8pm on 4 May at Hole in One Drive, Ruimsig.

According to Drift Reaction security company, they received reports of a shooting and when they arrived at the scene, the man was still in his car next to the road.

“The reason for the shooting is not yet known, there are speculations that a drug deal went sour. First reports were that the victim was assaulted and shot in the shoulder,” said Terry-Ann Booyse from Drift Reaction.

According to reports, an argument ensued between the victim and a male suspect which could have resulted in the shooting incident.

“The victim managed to drive away to where he stopped for assistance on the side of the road,” Booyse said.

Questions were sent to Honeydew Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs and comment is awaited.
